Miss Andrea Santisteven
First Grade - Welcome Letter
Dear First Grade Families,
I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Miss Santisteven and I am honored to be your child’s first grade teacher. This is my 32nd year teaching in Catholic School. I have taught first grade for 4 years and kindergarten for 15 years. I have also taught Pre-K, and PE kindergarten through eighth grade.
I am looking forward to working with you and your child in reaching his or her full potential. We will have many wonderful experiences and opportunities to grow spiritually and academically in the days ahead.
I believe that communication is the key to a great parent-teacher relationship. I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time. Please send a note or call the school office to set up a meeting. I am unable to meet on Friday due to faculty meetings. I am available before school (7:00am till 7:25am) and after school 3:15pm till 3:40pm. Each week I will be sending home a newsletter that will include reminders, upcoming activities, and homework. Please read this newsletter carefully so that your child will not be left out of any activity. You may also email me if you have any questions or concerns at asantisteven@sjogschoolcom or call the school at 562 863-5722.
Please participate in your child’s first grade year as much as you can. We both need to be partners in the learning process. Encourage your child at home by helping to ensure that they have completed their assignments neatly and help them study for tests.
